Love this time of year! Due to the super cold weather I now have the time to share with you some blog posts that I have been meaning to do for a good while but just haven’t found the time to do! First off my sample albums- Ive been talking to lots of fabulous brides recently, quite a few from the Dallas area, that I cant just run out the door and meet with-so this post is for you and all you other brides looking into using me to be your wedding photographer!

Black Friday and Cyber Monday

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you are all having an incredible time with family and friends and just enjoying the holiday!!

Here recently Ive really been reflecting on how blessed we are just to have food and shelter and so many of our ‘wants’ at our fingertips-I know i take it all for granted way too much!

This yr my family and I drove to Austin TX to spend an incredible 27 hrs with our family-enjoying the warm weather (until the cold front hit about 4 p.m yesterday) and then we went to the UT vs A&M game where I got to meet up with one of my good buddies who entertained me for much of the game! =) Im not the biggest football fan ever but it was a great game! then we hoped in the car and drove home (no fun at all driving all night) We got home at 4 a.m. where I got Aydin in bed-back to sleep and hoped in the car to participate in my very first black friday with my sisters and little niece…. wow!! black friday is pure craziness… but I got most of my Christmas shopping over with! yay!! (not a big shopper either)

Zach&Jody- FTL shoot with Mike Larson

Yesterday was the 2nd full day of For the Love workshop and it was such a blast getting to learn and shoot with the Gray’s and Mike Larson!!! Zach and Jody have some mad skills when it comes to using strobes and flash! some things I cant wait to pull out of my bag of tricks when the time calls for it!

The ground is covered with spider webs-GROSS!!!! you just constantly walk through them b/c they are floating in the air as wellZach and Jody have been so amazing at sharing their hearts and their wisdom with all of us and its been incredible to just be able to hang out with them throughout the entire day-asking questions and just talking about the Lord and our business! they are also some pretty gorgeous models-had so much fun shooting them as Mike Larson was teaching us about how he does his thing!

the Oregon sun peeking through and over the mountains is breath taking… couldnt get enough of it!

Oregon Day 1

For those of you who didnt know- I am currently in Eugene Oregon at the For The Love Workshop put on by Ginny Corbett with photography teachers Mike Larson and Zach & Jody Gray. I am having an amazing time and Im so excited about what God is teaching me through these incredible teachers and lovers of Him. Its incredibly late tonight but I wanted to share some images while Im here because I know once I get back to Texas it will be back to working hard for my lovely clients!
This morning we spent some time sharing what we are all struggling with and what we are hoping to get out of the workshop-it was an incredible time of openness and vulnerability. Its an experience like non others to be surrounded by fellow Christian photographers wanting nothing more than their business to pour out the love of God to our clients and friends.
Afterwards we took a break and the morning fog started to lift and we all just grabbed our cameras and started shooting the mountains peeking out through the fog and the sun shinning down-gorgeous!! God is the most perfect creative artist!

This afternoon we drove out to the Oregon Coast and just had a great time exploring, admiring and shooting! Below are just a few goodies. Oregon is such a beautiful place!

So of course Im wearing flip flops b/c God blessed us with amazingly beautiful weather in Oregon ( I wasn’t having to sport my Uggs after all) and I had to take the flip flops off to climb the rocks… my feet love me-and then i lost my beloved flip flops… =(

Mike Larson and Zach&Jody Gray are amazing Christian photographers here at the workshop to teach us and already I am blown away by how God has used them! I cant wait for the next few days!!!

I have to admit- I am really bad with extra pages =) I created a page for my old name (photography by meegan) and forgot to update it all the time… but I promise to do better with this one!

I would love for the discussion tab to get used! whether it be other photographers asking questions or posting info and/or discussion on specific topics like doing a first look, trash the dress and so on..

little bit of love

This morning has been so refreshing! Due to the weather my hubby was forced to stay home (what a drag for him)Aydin got our wedding video out from the shelf and wanted to watch it… theres nothing like watching your wedding to remind you of the love and romance in your life =) then we decided to watch Aydin’s baby video of his birth and first year… such sweet memories! time goes by way too fast!

I couldn’t have been happier- drinking my coffee with peppermint mocha creamer, cuddled on the couch in blankets with Chris and Aydin, and reminiscing! then to make it even better-we headed across the alley to spend some time with good friends and let the kiddos play… too bad every day couldn’t be so nice!

THEN i come home and put Aydin down for a nap and find that my business cards are being featured on Luxecetera’s Blog! They have been an absolute dream to work with and I cant wait to see all the amazing things they come up with for me by the time we are done!
