Macie is such a gorgeous bright young girl!! Shes got it all-the looks and the brains- being the Valedictorian for Seymour High School graduating class of 2012. I was so thankful when we had to reschedule that we got some gorgeous sunlight to work with!!Spring time treated us good around here with all the beautiful wildflowers-LOVE!Thank you Macie for coming in from Seymour for your senior pictures! Hannah is another GORGEOUS gal from my favorite small town, Graham TX. I swear some of the most beautiful girls-inside and out-come from Graham! Hannah invited me out to her place and it was the PERFECT spot for her session-just the most breath taking land and cattle =)favorite shot of the evening! the cows wanted to pose as well =)you are simply beautiful Hannah! Lyndsey and Jason are such a sweet sweet couple! We had a blast strolling around the Fort Worth Stockyards area-getting some urban rustic shots!Lyndsey works as an X-Ray technician and I LOVE LOVE LOVE how she incorporated that into her session! She x-rayed one of those little candy heart boxes-turned out amazing and perfect!!!this is my all time favorite-love me some hazy golden sunlight =)

I just posted on my Facebook page how I realized my blog is about a month behind… life has been so crazy lately that posting and blogging has fallen to the side-My priority is always the client and getting their images to them at my normal timely manner and so something had to give-and thats been this poor blog and even my facebook page has seen better days.

I am so thankful that my schedule has been full with some amazing clients that just rock my socks off- I got the pleasure of photographing some of the most beautiful girls in North Texas! First up-Meet Ashlyn, a senior from Graham, TX! She is so fun, beautiful on the inside as much as she is on the outside, and just a natural in front of the camera-makes my job super easy =)

I am so so excited for Allyson’s very vintage wedding!! Her mom is helping all the way from Florida and I cant wait till the end of May to photograph it all! I met up with Allyson and Will in Bowie, TX where we did some fun shots and then went on to Will’s gorgeous family land in Forrestburg! love me some golden sun light, an adorable couple, and rolling Texas land!!! Allyson- you are such a beauty!!! Cant wait for your special day!!!!

I had the absolute honor of photographing Blaire’s beautiful wedding out at the Coyote Ranch Resort in Wichita Falls, TX in March. Blaire and I go way back and it was so fun to be such a special part of her day! I couldnt be happier for her and Alex and their new life together!! The weather was supposed to be rainy and terribly windy and God smiled down instead and it was a gorgeous day!!! Here are just a few of my favorites and dont forget to check out the link to the slide show at the end!The chapel at the Coyote Ranch has the most beautiful light!They had such a fun reception celebrated with great friends!!

Vintage Easter Minis pt2

Easter mini sessions continued!!!! =) I just couldnt get all of them into 1 post because I loved too many of them!
Below are my sweet niece and nephew!! I was so glad to get to take their pictures! and I think I got a few smiles… Miss Berklee is 2 weeks older than my baby girl-I cant wait for them to grow up being best buds/cousins! =)Again-lots of incredible items at Alley Cat Collective in Downtown Wichita Falls.. this baby bassinet is gone already but you never know what you will find!another beautiful little girl =) this is Aydin’s little girlfriend and her sweet momma is who I stole Calyn’s name from! and this little beauty!!! my friend and another local photog Devon’s sweet little girl!! She was everywhere- and I loved it!love her smile =)because I just LOVE photographing couples- I was thrilled when Lindsay wanted to sign her and her boyfriend up for a mini session!! it was a great change of pace and they are just such beautiful people!!Thank you to everyone that let me photograph you =) I had so much fun creating a set up and I hope to do a lot more of it in the future!

Prosper:Week3

There is really some great stuff in this Prosper Prayer Journey… such sweet reminders of who we are in Christ and how He cares about my business! If you are a photographer and you haven’t looked into this e-book yet- I really encourage you to do so! Growing up in church and having what I like to call a relationship with Him for most of my life-I have heard and read so much of His promises to us in the Bible but Scarlett does an incredible job pulling out the scriptures that really hit home as a photographer and the issues that I deal with.

Fear, insecurity, criticism, self-doubt, dreams, and so much more that is really nice to realize-oh wait Im not the only one that deals with these thoughts and issues?? Is this industry its so easy to compare yourself to seasoned pros and to newbies coming into the market and its sobering to remember I am not the only one that overly criticizes myself and feels like I will never be good enough. The never feeling good enough can be partly good for you in order to keep changing and progressing but the self doubt and lack of confidence that comes with it is not necessary. After attending an AMAZING workshop in Oregon called For The Love I continually pray that the Creator of Creativity would be with me on shoots and that the Author of Love would enable me to love my clients.

One quote from one of the days hits home “He continued to speak to my heart ‘I didnt create you to be a great photographer, I created you to be a great person.’” how true that is!

I had been praying for ways to help others and minister to others with this gift of photography and I am super excited to be given the opportunity to mentor a young girl that will be attending a photographer retreat for teens age 15 to 20 called Pursuing the Light. I cant wait to begin talking with the girl that I am being partnered with and hear all about how God used the 2 women who are holding the workshop!! Ive had a couple people locally ask me about mentoring one on one and I hate to say no but where I am with 2 young kiddos at home-its just not possible!! I can barely manage finding a babysitter to do the shoots and weddings I have. Mentoring this young girl will be perfect because it will all be over the internet since she lives out of state. so excited!

Vintage Easter Mini Sessions

A couple of weekends ago I created a vintage Easter set up-I LOVE how it turned out and especially all the cute faces I got to photograph!

Almost all the items came from Alley Cat Collective in downtown Wichita Falls-my absolute favorite place to shop!! and the adorable bunny cupcakes were made by Courtney’s Cakepops-she is amazing! You can contact her at courtneyreames@ymail.com.

First up is the Three Sister Antiques girls-these beautiful girls are the faces of Three Sisters Antiques-You can find their finds on facebook or at Alley Cat Collective in downtown Wichita FallsNext up is miss Elisabeth and her beautiful momma with a little brother on the way!!! I loved that we were able to use these as a little maternity session as well!I REALLY wanted a picture of me and aydin like the one below- but God had other plans in the amt of time it took us to get pregnant… my baby boy was way too big for me to be picking up!!Next up-one of my favorite families to photograph!!! Morgan always is such an encouragement to me and I am so blessed to have clients like her!! =)had to get a shot of all their Sperrys!More to come soon from the 2nd half of the sessions! so blessed to have such beautiful and sweet kiddos to photograph!!!
