a little warning-this post wont have any pictures! ahh gasp!!! I know! and Im just going to be real honest here… if you are a grammar freak-just either ignore it or dont read because I know Im going to make a ton of grammar mistakes and im completely 100% ok with that!
At the moment its 12:49 am and the time changed last night so its basically like its almost 2 am for me! Baby girl always keeps my up all night after I shoot a wedding-guess she misses her momma and then wants to eat every 3 hrs throughout the night! so im running on very little sleep and apparently preparing for another night of not much sleep.
To the point: Scarlett Lillian has just put out her e-book Prosper-A 40 Day Prayer Journey to Seek God’s Will for Your Photography Business.. If you are a photographer and a believer in Jesus Christ-you NEED to check this book out- I cannot wait to see what God has in store for me through it and my desire is to share that with you. Im normally a very open person and Ive struggled the last few years in what is appropriate/inappropriate to share on fb/blog etc about my personal life and Ive decided to be more open!
The next 40 days I will be starting my day off with this prayer journey and my hope is to also blog each day about it-although I will not stress if I miss and have to put a couple days into 1 post-because lets be honest some more-my priority is my family and the blog post may have to wait. but I am excited to share my journey with you if you hang in there with me.
When I realized tonight that I had stayed up way later then I typically do I thought-what the heck Ill go ahead and read the intro to the book while im up and delaying sleep for only God knows why! Im hooked- I cant wait to wake up in the morning and read the first chapter! In the Intro Scarlett asks you to write down 10 things you want to believe God to do over the next 40 days… I opened up my journal that i hardly use but have and the page that it opens to to write on has this quote (already pre printed) “Training your body helps you in some ways, but serving God helps you in every way by bringing you blessings in this life and in the future life too.” 1 Timothy 4:8 Meant to be? absolutely! and my favorite quote from Scarlett in the intro is “Your photography business might be named after you, but its not about you. Its about what God gives you so that you can give to others.” As photographers we put so much of ourselves into our business-live and breath it 24-7.. its kind of sickening-but those words are so true…. God, I pray that you would radically change me over the next 40 days and use me for the glory of Your Holy name!!

Lisa Reagan - How exciting, and I’m sure God will show you some amazing things! But I want to tell you one more time that He is already using you in mighty ways. Yes, your business is named after you – Meegan Weaver Photography – but it has God’s name all over it! I saw Him in everything you did with regard to my daughter’s wedding. From the very first phone call where I fell in love with you, sight unseen over the the phone, all the way from Tennessee, and knew you were the exact person God wanted me to hire for Emily’s wedding. I was in panic mode and you were the very first vendor I talked to – but the peace I felt after our conversation set the tone for the rest of the long-distance planning and told me that God was right there with us the whole time. The awesome bonus was that you are such a creative and amazing photographer in addition to being so much fun! I loved working with you on every little detail and question I had (there were sooooo many!), to the pre-wedding shoot, the wedding day itself, and then the photographs afterwards. Can’t wait to read all about this 40 day journey and I’m grateful you are willing to share it!
